Canadian Iceberg Vodka Corporation

Incorporated in October, 1994, the company announced in early 1995 that it would be producing ultra-premium vodka made from harvested icebergs and triple-distilled neutral grain spirits made from Ontario sweet corn. In July the first “growlers” (small icebergs which have broken off larger ones) were collected using barges and tugboats.

Iceberg was introduced in September, 1995 at the annual Canadian Provincial Premiers’ Conference in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and the legend had begun. Iceberg was awarded a Gold Medal and a 94-point rating at the 1998 World Spirits Championship, the first of an ongoing series of awards.

The Corporation now produces gold and silver rums, and gin..

Iceberg Vodka

Iceberg Vodka

Iceberg is the truly iconic all-Canadian brand, made with the water from 12,000-year-old icebergs, harvested off the coast of Newfoundland (the purest water on the planet) and peaches and cream Ontario sweet corn spirit. It is Canada’s second-largest premium domestic vodka brand, growing at more than twice the national vodka sales growth rate. (Source: ACD to December 2010).

Clear as ice, Iceberg boasts incredible purity. The aroma is crisp, invigorating and stimulating. The flavour is smooth, complex and subtle, with an excellent finish, and no burn. Iceberg is triple distilled, and 40% alc./vol.

Iceberg’s accolades are many, including the 2010 Gold Medal at the Beverage Testing Institute’s?Best Buy Bar Competition in Chicago; the 2009 Gold Medal at the Vodka Festival, Cannes, France; the Silver Medal at the 2000 International Wine &?Spirit Competition in London, UK, and the Gold Medal and a “Best Buy” designation at the 1998 World Spirits Championships in Chicago.

Iceberg is produced and bottled in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The proprietary bottle has been heralded as “a work of art”, with its chiseled iceberg design and blue, ice-textured front label.
