Excellent modern Chilean wines.

Viña MontGras was founded in 1992 when Hernán Gras, a winemaker of vast international experience, and his brothers Eduardo and Cristián Hartwig, decided to continue a family tradition to produce excellent, export-quality wines from the renowned wine growing region of Peralillo in Chile's Colchagua Valley. The company now owns more than 435 hectares, planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The company also grows Semillon, Carmenère, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and
Malbec grapes.

MontGras is one of Chile's most modern wineries, now producing three lines: Estate, Reservas, and Ninquén Barrel Select. Ninety eight per cent of MontGras' annual production of 6.3 million litres is exported to Europe, North and Latin America, and Asia.

Carmenère Reserva

The colour is deep purple and its nose is powerful spice, with hints of mint and wild herbs, combined with vanilla and cedar. The taste is soft, and round tannins offer subtle fruit flavours, accented by a spicy vanilla and toasty note. Varietal composition is 100% and the grapes are from the Colchagua Valley.

Sauvignon Blanc Reserva

A fresh and fruity Chilean white, produced on a 500 hectare estate located at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, in Chile's newest and most radical cool climate spot: San Antonio, Leyda. Pale yellow, it boasts aromas of medium to high intensity; little by little, tangerine, lime and delicate white flowers appear, along with pineapple and graphite notes. There is sufficient complexity to show its unique character and personality. Very dry in the mouth, it has an appealing and interesting natural acidity. On the finish there are citric and sweet aromas.

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva

Ruby red with purple notes. Ripe plums and blackberries greet the nose, framed by elegant toast and cedar. The wine is medium bodied, fruity and balanced with a nice core of cedar and toasty notes.

ANTU Ninquen Cabernet Sauvignon-Carmenère

85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Carmenère. Dark, dense purple to inky black in colour, it has aromas of black currant, fig and plums, coupled with cedar, clove and spice. The taste is full-bodied, velvety smooth and very well-structured, rounded and ripe, with firm tannins. It concludes in a lingering finish.

ANTU Ninquen Syrah

An opulent, rich purple in colour. The bouquet is very spicy, with notes of black and white pepper mingled with leather, clove and ripe black fruit supported by oak. The taste is full-bodied, harmonious and expressive, with mellow tannins and a structured mid-palate. Intense fruit flavours lead to a long finish.

QUATRO

QUATRO represents a winemaking revolution for Chile, effectively altering the traditional concept of producing single varietal wines in favor of wines with more complexity and structure. QUATRO is a blend of four grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère and Malbec, but it does not taste like any of them. Merlot gives it the perfume, Carmenère the spice, Cabernet structure and Malbec binds it all together.
