Lakes of Muskoka Cottage Brewery

Lakes of Muskoka Cottage Brewery Inc., located in downtown Bracebridge in the heart of Muskoka, capped its first bottle of Muskoka Cream Ale in 1996. The company is proud to be part of the resurgence of the micro-brewing industry in Ontario, and pleased to offer four specially crafted beers. Brewed in small batches to ensure the finest and freshest product possible, these four Muskoka classics are presented in attractive new packaging.

Muskoka Premium Lager
Was the 2007 Gold Medal Winner at the Canadian Brewing Awards for North American Style Lager. Aged a little longer to create superb balance and a fresh, relaxing body, it is an excellent choice any time. This traditional Canadian lager is perfect for all domestic beer lovers. it complements light meals, such as poultry and vegetable dishes, while it balances "heavier" selections such as fried foods and beef dishes.

Muskoka Cream Ale
This, the brewery's signature beer, was launched in 1996. Crisp, clean and refreshingly hopped, with a nutty malt finish, it is a very food-friendly beer, to be enjoyed with a variety of dishes. Especially good with ‘delicate' beef selections, such as filet mignon, its creaminess contrasts stronger pork dishes, cheese plates and entrees with tangy sauces.

Muskoka Dark Ale
A big, bold ale, flush with hints of coffee, bitter chocolate and molasses, this is a wonderful addition to a rich dessert, such as chocolate cake, it also embraces traditional pub fare or a hearty beef dishes. The dark contrasts a meal that is "sweeter", whether it be the sauce or select additions to the dish.

Muskoka Hefe-Weissbier
Was the 2007 Gold Medal Winner at the Canadian Brewing Awards for German Style Wheat Beer. Available spring and summer, this is Bavarian wheat beer with yeast, which imparts a distinctive fruity and spicy character. The slightly cloudy appearance is due to the active yeast, which preserves and stabilizes the beer. Muskoka Hefe-Weissbier best complements a fresh water seafood dish, chicken or pork that is lightly or not spiced.
