Each bottle of Blanton's comes from a single barrel stored in the most controlled and temperate part of warehouse "H". Every bottle of Blanton's is hand labeled and corked in a proprietary hexagonal globe decanter bottle befitting a connoisseur. All the critics concur that Blanton's bourbons are amongst the finest made.

Blanton's Original was bestowed the Grand Gold Medal at the 1998 Monde Selection competition in Brussels. At the International Wine and Spirits competition in London, England, Blanton's Original followed suit winning gold medals for two consecutive years (1997 and 1998). Blanton's Original is bottled at approximately 46.7 percent alcohol/volume, whereas the Special Reserve has a more moderate 40 percent alcohol/volume.
