Behn Originals

In 1892 Waldemar Behn, son of a Hamburg brewer, founded a beer hall in the village of Gettorf in Schleswig-Holstein to sell his father's products to workers on the Kaiser Wilhelm Canal. Behn's "Weissbierhalle" was very successful and he soon expanded the business to supply beer, as well as spirits and non-alcoholic beverages he produced himself, to restaurants. In 1907 Waldemar took over the family brewery in Eckernförde, which remains the Behn headquarters. Over the years Behn has produced many successful beverage products and is one of Germany's leading special beverage wholesale trading companies, focused on supplying both licensees and retailers. Behn's truck fleet supply the products of some of Germany's leading distillers, wineries, brewers, mineral springs companies, and refreshment beverage and juice producers.
