Joan Sarda Wines - Spain

The Sardá family business, founded by Tomàs Sardá, was established in the early 20th Century. The company was established in Castellbisbal, in the outskirts of Barcelona, where spacious cellars and winemaking facilities are located. Located in the centre of Spain's Penedès wine district, the company owns vineyards planted with noble varieties (mainly Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon).

The Sardá cellars date from 1913 and the old winery has been modified to accommodate a bottling facility with a capacity of up to 5,000 bottles per hour, one of the most modern in Spain.

Currently operated by managing director Joan Sardá and his brother Antoni, the company's winemaker (Tomàs Sardá's grandhildren), Bodegas Sardá wines are enjoyed on five continents.
